Rawdogging my trip

Things I did right, and what I would have done differently

Murilo Mondays #11

I went on a trip alone for the first time without my family.

I have just checked into my Airbnb, where I will be staying for three nights.

I have been on my own (except for God) for the past 8 hours, and I have some things to say about my experience.

Things I did right:

  • I started planning early.

This helped me to avoid stress and to make sure that I didn't forget anything.

I created a checklist two weeks before my trip and followed it when it was time to pack.

  • I brought a gallon water bottle.

This was a good idea, as it meant that I always had plenty of water to drink.

  • I brought a journal.

This was a great way to stay organized and to jot down my thoughts and ideas.

I was able to come up with seven new tweets to schedule on TweetHunter.

  • I was friendly to those around me.

This helped me to meet new people and to practice my social skills, with new people I haven't yet met before.

Things I would do differently:

  • I would have paid for an extra seat on the bus.

For only $25 I could have freed myself from the pain of Enochlophobia (Fear of Crowds).

This would have given me more space to relax and to stretch out.

  • I should have brought an efficient bag.

My carry-on bag was big enough to hold everything that I needed.

But, it wasn't efficient to hold everything I wanted.

It was my school bag that I've had for the past 5 years.

Don't get me wrong it is a great bag.

On the other hand, for trips like this, I shouldn't use it.

Better to leave it for school only.

  • I would have brought a neck pillow.

I was extremely excited about this trip.

I wasn't able to sleep the night before.

So on the bus, I was fighting demons to not fall asleep.

However, inevitably I would fall asleep, and when I did, my neck hurt like a bitch.

Buying a neck pillow would have saved me the discomfort.

This would have helped me to sleep on the bus.

  • I would have gone with a friend.

This would have made the trip more enjoyable and less expensive.

Overall, I had a great time on my trip so far. I learned a lot about myself and about what I need to do to make future trips even better.

At the time of editing this, I have just come back from the gym.

I have finished most of my night routine and am about to eep.

Good luck with your quests soldiers.

Have a great rest of your week.
